Missing Odbc Driver

I'm not really sure what we're missing - we have both a 2003 and a 2008 enterprise version server and both of them once the os's have been installed don't seem to have the odbc drivers.. I have a windows 7 premium(64 bit) os and i don't have msaccess etc in my odbc , it shows only sql datsbase server how shall i get all the other drivers ?. I have an excel 2010 application that accesses a sql server 2008 r2 server using an obdc connection string. when my co-workers try to use the application, it cannot connect to the database..

Hi jaydev05, since the operation system is 64-bit version, the default version of odbc data source administrator is 64-bit on the control panel and only list 64-bit version of drivers can be listed. to enumerate all 32-bit drivers such as access, you can run the odbc data source administrator with 32-bit version which allocates at c:windowssyswow64odbcad32.exe by default.. I am not able to add data sources when following the steps to configure odbc data sources in the documentation on using database explorer. the microsoft access driver (*.mdb, *.accdb) option is missing in the 'create new data source' window.. So we realized that the issue is not with the third party driver rather it is the registry key from where the odbc data source administrator (odbcad32.exe) actually picks up the list of drivers. the odbc data source administrator (odbcad32.exe) picks up the list of entries from the following registry path..
